We’ve released a focused set of improvements to make Marijuana Software faster, more reliable, and easier to use during everyday store operations.

We improved the way menus load inside the POS to increase speed, stability, and consistency when staff are ringing up customers, viewing products, and working with menu items.

These changes help reduce menu loading issues and improve reliability during active sales.

🧩 Improved Category and Menu Compatibility

We also improved how product categories are handled behind the scenes.

This helps products display more consistently across menus, reports, and POS workflows, especially for stores using state-specific category mappings.

🛒 Product and Inventory Workflow Improvements

We cleaned up several product and inventory workflows to reduce friction for staff.

• 🌱 Improved product page reliability
• 📦 Improved inventory item handling
• 🏷️ More consistent menu item naming
• 🔍 Better support for rebuilding product indexes
• 🧾 Updated the Products page so special characters no longer break the product table
• ⚖️ Fixed discrepancies when comparing ounces and pounds in the METRC Discrepancy Report
• ⌨️ Improved barcode field behavior when using the Enter key

🔧 Behind-the-Scenes Reliability Improvements

Some of this release focused on technical cleanup customers may not see directly, but should benefit from.

We improved database update reliability, product indexing stability, and menu data handling so the system is better prepared to support larger menus, cleaner product data, and ongoing performance improvements.
